Natural History Museum of Utah - The Canyon Terrace

Come explore worlds beyond our own at NHMU's Star Party!  

Watch the sun set and get a good look at outer space from one of the best views in the valley. Join us for an evening of star gazing through professional telescopes and handheld Galileo telescopes. Guests will also be able to touch a piece of the Space Shuttle, examine and talk meteorites with an expert, and ponder the universe with local astronomers. To help keep you warm, enjoy some *complimentary hot cocoa and cookies.

The following astronomical objects may be viewable:

  • Orion Nebula
  • Andromeda Galaxy
  • Catalina Comet
  • Sirius
  • Cassiopeia
  • Double Cluster in Perseus

This event is FREE to the public. Regular Museum admission required for entrance into galleries.
