What kind of events do you have?
Young Professionals Salt Lake City provides a variety of events: networking, community involvement, professional development, and social opportunities.
Do I have to pay to be a member of YPSLC?
YPSLC has three levels of membership. Basic, Student VIP, and VIP. Basic membership is free, VIP membership is $69 per year, Student membership is discounted to $50 per year. VIP members receive perks such as complimentary admission to Mix & Mingles, invites to VIP member only exclusive events, and discount tickets to various events.

Our events are geared towards young professionals aged 21-39 that live in the Salt Lake City area.
I'm new in town. Can I come to your events by myself?
Absolutely! Don't be intimidated. YPSLC is all about meeting new people. Our events are a great way to meet new people. We have board members at every event who will make sure that you feel welcome. Click here to see all our board members and look for them at our next event.
Who exactly is a member of YPSLC?
The mission of YPSLC is to promote an environment that attracts and retains young professionals in the Salt Lake City area. A YP is an individual between the ages of 21 and 39. The organization provides social opportunities, networking opportunities, member-directed educational programs and community service opportunities to YPs.
Do I have to be a member to attend the events?
No. Just join the email list and follow us on Facebook/Instagram/Twitter so you are in the loop! Come to any events that catch your eye.
How much do your events cost?
Each event is different. Some are free or have a minimal cost to cover expenses. Our event listings breakdown the date, time, location, any costs, items you need to bring, a short description, and provide YPSLC contact for your questions.
Can you help me find a job?
YPSLC is not an employment agency. However, it may be beneficial for you to come to our events and introduce yourself to the attendees who may include business owners, directors, and HR reps. You never know who you'll meet!
We are a local business. Can you help us find employees?
YPSLC hosts numerous events which are attended by several young professionals who may be your target audience. Ask us how you can get more exposure for your company at our events by emailing admin@ypslc.com
How do I get more involved?
Along with attending our events, you could consider joining a committee with YPSLC by dropping us an email (admin@ypslc.com) or talking with a Board member.
How do you chose new Board members?
Any YPSLC VIP member can nominate themselves to join the board. Nominees will need to fill out an application form and submit to admin@ypslc.com online. Board members are selected by the current board of directors. New board members take office on January 1 of every year.
How do you chose locations for your events?
Locations are sometimes chosen based on logistics, but many times just by the initiative of the event planner. Have an idea? Drop us a line. We LOVE to get ideas and feedback from the people that attend our events.
We are always looking for potential business partners wishing to sponsor an event.
Is there a way to advertise an event that I'm planning to YPSLC’s members?
Yes! Just submit your event to admin@ypslc.com.
I am involved with a charity that I think YPSLC could help. How do I pitch my idea to YPSLC?

How can I get involved in planning and scheduling YPSLC events?
We try to offer a variety of events, and we like to host them at different locations and times so that we can reach as many YP's as possible. If our schedules have not matched up yet, keep checking back! One day, I'm sure they will. Or, if they don't, we suggest getting involved to host an event by emailing admin@ypslc.com.
Do I have to be 21 or older to attend an event?
It all depends on the event. Check the details of the event you would like to attend or drop us a line if you have a specific event that may be in question.
